Interview on 自由風自由PHONE: Privacy and technical issues about EAA case

Today the Hong Kong Examination and Assessment Authority disclosed that they have obtained one single user record from the English website -- meaning that there may be just one person who entered the website during the time of the examination. However, there are numerous points of concerns relating to technical and privacy matters. How can a Hong Kong government body request personal data from an overseas body when even Hong Kong laws would bar any Hong Kong body from disclosing such information to a body outside of Hong Kong? This is neither a request by a law enforcement body, mainlky an examination -- educational -- body, and this is not related to any criminal offense, and it is unlikely this request is meant for civil litigation.

I was interviewed on the air by RTHK Radio 2's 自 由 風 自 由 PHONE over long distance as I was in Shanghai. You can listen to what I said from this link: http://www.rthk.org.hk/rthk/radio1/openline_openview/20060519.html
