Beauty and the Beast, Royal Birmingham Ballet
Tonight, I saw a fantastic ballet performance of Beauty and the Beast by the Royal Birmingham Ballet in the Hong Kong Cultural Centre as part of the 2006 Hong Kong Arts Festival -- thanks to the invitation by Microsoft Hong Kong.
It must have been a long long time since the last ballet performance I watched. The technical aspects especially the sets, and the presentation is so modern. It's fun and enjoyable and almost perfect still for people like me knowing practically nothing about the arts of the ballet.
And for tonight's show, the lead role of the Beast (or the Prince) was performed by Mr CAO Chi from China and one of the principals of the RBB.
